Whether it’s your first time out on the water or you’re looking to improve your skills, our RYA (Royal Yachting Association) courses guarantee you to get moving at a pace that suits you. All our Clubs have been inspected and passed as recognised RYA Training Centres, which means that everyone can learn safely and professionally on the water from 1:1 tuition or group courses.

NEW for 2008 – FREE beginner RYA Start Sailing (18yrs+)

In addition to our FREE beginners clinics we are now offering a RYA Start Sailing course absolutely FREE.  Covering RYA skills up to Stage 1, the courses will run at all Clubs throughout 2008, but places are limited so make sure you pre-book you place before you go.

NEW for 2008 – RYA Race Training Course - 2day, £50pp

A new 2-day course, focusing on all the race rules and techniques you'll need to get across the start line and around the windward mark first.

Kids' RYA Dinghy Courses (8-17yrs) available at all Clubs all Season

NEW for 2008 – Sunsail Youth Sailing Club - 8-17yrs, £140 per child, per week

Ideal for anyone really looking to learn to sail or excel. This dedicated sailing club gives tuition over six days and will cover RYA Stages 1-2 for beginners and 3-4 for intermediates, whilst the more advanced will concentrate on race tactics and advanced skill. Sunsail YSC will sun at all Clubs during high season and school holidays.

Kids' Club Sailing Scheme - 5-17yrs, FREE

Available as an option from our Kids’ Clubs, covering everything from tying knots to tacking.

2 Day RYA Start Sailing Stage 4 Teaches the skills to sail a two person boat and how to solve problems on the afloat. Covering basic meteotology, tides and furthering those skills learned at level 3	£70pp	3:1

Whether you’re looking to get going with a starter course or improve your technique, you’ll get the best instruction from our RYA instructors who’ll build your confidence and your skills.

RYA Stage 1 – Learn to Windsurf

A course for complete beginners to learn the basics, including using the right equipment and how to sail where you want to go and how to get back again.
This course is not available at Club Colonna

Intermediate Windsurf Course – Planning or Non-Planning Levels

Improve your windsurf skills with this 2-day course.

Advanced Carving Skills
1-day £50pp
Further your competencies with this intensive 1-day course focusing on carve gybing skills.
