Sunsail YSC and the British Hobie Cat Class Association (BHCCA) have teamed up to offer you the chance to train with an RYA Catamaran coach for a week and the potential to be invited to join the Youth Catamaran Training Programme upon their return to the UK. This week offers a unique opportunity for young people to really get to grips with Catamaran sailing and develop their skills.
Pre- Requisites for the Course: Candidates must be a minimum of 8 yrs in age on the start of the course, have some racing knowledge or basic competition experience (dinghy or catamaran) and at RYA stage 3 or above.
Course Outline:
Will include boat handling, tacks and gybes, trim and balance of the boat, including trapezing, sailing fast and apparent wind, boat turning for different conditions, spinnaker sailing, sailing to windward, downwind sailing and plenty of racing practice.
