Join Diane Lee for a week of pure indulgence and serenity as she trains the mind and body with a blend of Hatha and Ashtanga Yoga. Diane trained as a Yoga Alliance Hatha Yoga teacher in Colorado and holds a Sports Massage Association (SMA) accredited qualification, the highest recognised certification available through the UK Governing Body. Diane is the UK’s only Meridian flexibility and strength personal resistance trainer, founded by Bob Cooley offering a way of gaining permanent flexibility by maximally contracting whilst you stretch.

The week will concentrate on two areas of yoga, Hatha and Ashtanga and incorportate Meridian resistance training.
Hatha is a form of yoga that concentrates on holding the asanas (postures) for an extended period of time. It emphasises the use of the breath whilst in the postures, thus producing a calming,
strengthening affect. This is the more general form of yoga with meditation. At the beginning and end of every Hatha session there is a short relaxation period aimed at steadying the mind and bringing it into focus.
Ashtanga is the energetic, physically challenging and intense form of Yoga preferred by athletes and celebrities. These session will work on synchronising the breathing with a progressive series of postures.

Focusing on a fusion of Hatha, Ashtanga and Meridian resistance training, this session will be dynamic and energetic with a series of postures and stretches to enable you to maximise your flexibility.
AFTERNOON SESSIONSThe afternoon session will be less energetic than the morning with a variety of sessions based around the principles of Hatha (general yoga) and Pranayama (breathing sessions), gentle stretching and clinics targeting specific areas, as well as meditation. (45 minutes) Sessions are generally based around warm up, standing series, seated postures, inversions (head below the heart) and calming work.
