Turkish Clubs in 2009
We are disappointed to confirm that we will not be operating our three Sunsail Clubs in Turkey for the summer 2009 season. This difficult decision has been taken for a number of reasons which impact our ability to provide the exceptional holidays which we pride ourselves on and that our customers expect.
Sunsail offers a unique product which relies heavily on the use of specialist staff, for example, instructors who hold Royal Yachting Association (RYA) qualifications. Following a recent review of our internal processes, it has become apparent that we will not be able to complete the administrative formalities required to send our colleagues to Turkey in time for the 2009 season. Our staff are at the very heart of our business and customer offering and we have therefore taken the difficult decision not to operate our Clubs in the country this year.
The decision not to operate in Turkey this summer is limited to Sunsail Clubs only. The Yacht and Flotilla programmes remain unaffected and will continue to operate their exciting programme of activities as normal this summer. In addition an enhanced family flotilla programme will be run for families still wishing to sail in Turkey with Sunsail in 2009. Sunsail Club Colonna in Antigua and Club Vounaki in Greece also remain unaffected.
