Club Vounaki has something for all ages on the water, from ringo rides and watersking to windsurfing and dinghy sailing. Our staff will rig the boats and windsurfers for you and show you how to use them in our free daily tuitional clinics.
New for 2010!
Summer 2010 will see 2 Laser SB3’s arriving at Club Vounaki. These outstanding one design racing keelboats are great in light winds or a howling gale. These increasingly popular one design sailboats are excellent for close quarter racing and downwind give you the blasting excitement of asymmetric dinghy sailing. Designed for racing with up to 4 people they are very stable and also very fast, perfect for all levels of sailor.
In addition to the SB3’s we will also be adding some RS100's to the fleet in Vounaki. These performance orientated single-handed dinghies with asymmetric spinnakers have been eagerly awaited by sailors around the world and are hot off the press having just been launched at the London International Boat Show. After two years of design and testing before their launch, these dinghies are expected to add a new dimension to the fleet at Vounaki! Read about RS100's
We will also be introducing a wider selection of dinghy kit, giving you even more choice on the beach. Adding to our already extensive range of sailing kit will be; Laser Bahia’s, Laser Pico’s, Laser Dart 16’s and Paddle boards.

Dinghy & Catamaran Sailing
With the widest range of dinghies for beginners to advanced, you’re guaranteed a superb sail with Sunsail. Vounaki is a recognised RYA Training Centre and all our Beach team are qualified to the highest standards.
The dinghy sailing at Vounaki is fantastic for all abilities and if you’ve never sailed before you can try it our with our FREE RYA Start Sailing Course. Our friendly, RYA qualified instructors will be happy to show you the ropes to get you moving at a pace that suits you. And if you’re feeling a bit more adventurous, why not enrol on one of our more advanced RYA courses.

Yacht Sailing
Nothing beats the freedom of having your own yacht to explore on. Only Sunsail Clubs gives you the opportunity to have your own yacht for the day. It’s the perfect way to discover secret beaches, unspoilt islands and local fishing villages. Sail all day and then enjoy the comfort of our Club Vounaki by night. Drop anchor in a secluded bay to explore a harbour-side town. Why not stretch your sea legs and find a secluded bay to go snorkelling in, get some sailing practice in for the evening races, or join a mini Flotilla and stop for lunch with other yachts – it’s entirely up to you!
This area of the Ionian was made for yacht sailing so pack your snorkelling gear and head off for a relaxing cruise around this beautiful area. Sailing south, you’ll discover the enchanting islands of Meganissi and Kalamos. On Meganissi you’ll find anchorages such as Abelike Bay and Port Athene – both excellent for lunch stops, swimming and snorkelling. Kalamos is a peaceful island where you can spend a relaxed afternoon ashore with a picnic. You’ll also find some of the finest beaches in the entire Ionian along your route.

Windsurfing
Vounaki is the perfect place to learn to windsurf, with its calm sheltered inner bay really letting you get to grips with our fantastic kit. Choose from Starboard Starts and Rios for beginners or the Gos and Carves for the more advanced. A blast on the Gemini Tandem board is also not to be missed.
There are FREE daily clinics to give you a taster, as well as more comprehensive RYA courses. Oh, and it’s a good idea to pre-book courses to guarantee your place. We use top quality kit, rigged and ready to go. Our team will be delighted to help you pick the best board for the conditions and are on hand to rig it for you.

Sailing Conditions
Vounaki’s sheltered bay and gentle cross-shore winds make it the perfect place to learn to sail, windsurf, water-ski or wakeboard. Winds can build to a steady force 4 further out of the bay and with plenty of islands to explore and secret bays to discover, this area of the Ionian is ideal for yacht sailing or your first Club Flotilla.
