With some basic sailing knowledge, this is something that everyone can enjoy and it’s now easier than ever before to join in, because whether you are just starting out in sailing, sailing as a family or a seasoned sailor looking for a challenge, we have the perfect flotilla option for you.

Solo Travelers

Head off on holiday by yourself and you could come back with new friends for life. That’s what a Sunsail flotilla is all about - having a great time with those who share your interest in sailing. A guaranteed way to meet new people is to join our Skippered Share A Yacht holidays throughout the Med.

Couples

Cruising together on your very own yacht is the ultimate escape. If you’re looking for privacy and time out with your partner while sailing in the company of others and with the comfort of your own space, this is the answer. For romantics, there’s nothing like being free to anchor up in a quiet bay with a deserted beach where you can swim and relax. Enjoy dinner together with just yourselves and some good food and music on board and the stars above for company.

We’ve been told that meeting up in the evening and getting together for a meal to share the day’s events and generally enjoy each other’s company is one of the best things about a flotilla holiday.

Groups

Get your friends together and make up your own crew or even a few boats on flotilla and have a blast in the sun, on a holiday of a lifetime. If you are all new to sailing, join a Skippered Share A Yacht cruise where a Sunsail Skipper will join you on board throughout your flotilla holiday. Skippered share a yacht is available in Turkey an Greece on selected flotillas.

Families

A flotilla is great fun for all the family, especially now you have your own Kids’ Activity Instructor along for the duration. They will be there to organise activities for the kids along the route and be able to advise on places to visit that the kids will love. We offer Family Flotillas in Turkey and Greece during high season.

New to sailing?

To sail your own yacht on a flotilla we do insist you (or some of the people you are holidaying with) have had some flotilla sailing training or sailing experience. However, if you are a complete beginner there are plenty of flotilla options for you.

You can complete a flotilla training course in the UK or at one of Sunsail’s activity and watersports beach resorts. This will arm you with all you need to confidently take the helm on a flotilla – you could also combine the two and spend a week at a Sunsail Club completing your flotilla training with a week straight afterwards on a flotilla. Most of our Clubs offer Club Flotilla as a holiday option.
