Abacos One Week Flotilla

Day 1
Arrive at flotilla base
Arrive at the well equipped and modern marina.  Spend some time ashore browsing the duty free stores or enjoy a fresh fish dinner at one of the harbour side restaurants.

Day 2 - Base to Guanan Cay, 8 miles/ 2 hours
Guanan Cay - 15 miles, 2-3 hrs
Discover more than 7 miles of pictures perfect beaches on the island of Guana. If you are lucky you may spot one of the friendly local dolphins that are known to swim in to see the bathers on the beach.

Day 3 - Guanan to Green Turtle = 11.5 n/miles @ 5 knots = 2.5 hours
Green Turtle Cay - 15 miles, 2-3 hrs
Green Turtle Cay is known for beautiful beaches and the village of New Plymouth with its unique history. This lovely marina is only a short walk from the town where the New England style streets are lined with clapboard houses.

Day 4 - Green Turtle to Treasure Cay = 8.5 n/miles @ 5 knots = under 2 hours
Treasure Cay - 15 miles, 2-3 hrs
Part of a quaint Bahamian village, this well equipped marina is within walking distance of one of the finest beaches in the Bahamas. Treasure Cay's magnificent 3 1/2 mile beach has been rated one of the 10 best in the world! Spend the afternoon here relaxing or enjoy all the amenities on offer in this first-class resort.

Day 5 - Treasure Cay to Hope Town = 22 n/miles @ 5 knots = 4 hours
Hope Town, Elbow Cay - 35 miles, 4 hrs
Elbow Cay is approximately 6 miles long and 1/4 mile wide with a magnificent barrier reef that protects the long  sandy beaches, perfect for swimming, snorkeling, diving and fishing. Explore the quaint streets and soak up the local lifestyle.

Day 6 - Hope Town to Sandy Cay = 9 n/miles @ 5 knots = 2 hours
Sandy Cay - 30 miles, 3-4hrs
Sandy Cay Reef is one of the best spots in the Abacos for snorkeling and diving. This unique 2000 acre National Park contains beautiful underwater caves, extensive coral reefs and a whole host of plant and animal life.

Day 7 - Sandy Cay to Base = 15 n/miles @ 5 knots = 3 hours
Return to flotilla base - 35 miles, 4 hrs
Enjoy a fun sail back to base, followed by your farewell 'Bahamian style' party!
