A couple of hours a day gentle sailing is planned for half your Flotilla time on this southern route around the Ionian, slowly cruising down towards Cephalonia. The other half is made up of five complete ‘Free Sailing’ days which can be as adventurous or as chilled out as you like.
Fantastic scenery, gorgeous beaches, traditional Greek villages and sleepy lifestyle keep the area ever-popular with sailors of all abilities because there is always something new to discover. Your itinerary will take in Levkas, Ithaca and Cephalonia, visiting beautiful bays and charming harbours inclusing Spartahori and Sivota, where you will be able to while away the hours in pure relaxation at a shoreside taverna.
Hike to Pt Polis from Kioni, where once stood the Palace of Odysseus and Cave of the Nymphs. The mythological site is connected with the legendary Greek king Odysseus, famous for the trick of the Trojan Horse during the Trojan War. During August the Ithaca theatre festival re-enacts the stories of mythological legends.
