The Equinix Silicon Cup is the largest sailing regatta for the IT industry. Join hundreds of industry professionals for the thrill of yacht racing in the Solent, network with contacts at action-packed social events and support worthy causes through entertaining fundraising challenges.
Since the first event in 2000 it has grown to include more than 400 competitors and continues to attract more companies that join those that have taken part regularly over the years. The 2009 event will take place on the 17–18 September in Cowes on the Isle of Wight (England).Don’t miss a unique event that provides a great opportunity to entertain your customers, reward your employees, meet new contacts and give something back. No previous sailing experience is required - enter your own boat or let the Britannia team set you up with a suitable yacht and a professional crew who will teach you the ropes.
Sailing for a Better Future
Now in its tenth year the Silicon Cup came to life when four senior people in the IT industry decided to combine their passion and their profession to raise meaningful amounts of money for charity - since the first event it has raised over £250,000 for its nominated charities. We would like to say a huge thank you to all of the generous donors, participants and sponsors that have made this possible.
Per boat package costs £4145 + vat and includes:
- Silicon Cup regatta entry fee
- Yacht charter for Thursday 17th and Friday 18th September 2009
- Professional skipper
- Racing packed lunches for both days
- Thursday afternoon tea for all the team
- Gala dinner tickets for all the team on Thursday evening
- Breakfast on Friday morning
- Prize giving on Friday with afternoon tea
- Your company logo on your yacht
- Berthing in Cowes Yacht Haven
- Accommodation on board for a maximum of 6 guests plus skipper
