Holidaymakers eye Turkish getaway

Turkey looks like being one of the most popular destination for holidaymakers in 2011.

Travellers considering destinations for their summer escape have been increasingly looking at Turkey, according to Holiday Lettings. Options for holidaymakers include Turkey yacht charter holidays or a relaxing beach holiday.
 
This is a positive development for those eager to rent out their holiday homes, while Spain, Portugal and Cyprus are also expected to be popular destinations for summer holidaymakers, including those wanting to enjoy a watersports holiday.
 
Kate Stinchcombe-Gillies, from Holiday Lettings, said: "The destination hotspots are not a huge surprise. 
 
"The strength of the euro means that to keep costs down people are continuing to look outside of the eurozone for their main holiday, and Turkey has all of the appeal of a European holiday, without the expense."
