The number of people taking holidays in Croatia increased this summer, figures have revealed.
Tourist arrivals were up 5.2% in July compared with the same month in 2010, according to Croatia's statistics office in Zagreb.
Tourism makes up around 20% of the country's gross domestic product, with many visitors finding that a
yacht charter in Croatia can be one of the best ways to make the most of their trip to the Adriatic Sea nation.
Analysts expect revenue from tourism to grow by up to 8% this year thanks to the increasing popularity of holidays such as Croatia flotilla sailing.
A spokesman from Croatia's Societe Generale Splitska Banka said: "Though the arrivals are on the rise, the real success of the tourist season is measured by revenue and the global crisis caused tourists to spend more carefully."
