All the help you need
Sunsail offers a selection of 'support' courses to add to and improve your seamanship CV. These courses can benefit anyone who sails but are especially useful to those who plan to pursue a career in the yachting industry or who may be buying their own boat. Learn the essential radio skills, first aid and all you need to know about engines and feel completely at ease on board with your in-depth knowledge and improved safety awareness.

Taking a one day course will enable you to extend your knowledge and skills in a specialist area. Some courses - for example the GMDSS Radio Course and First Aid - are prerequisitie for higher qualifications such as the Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster exam.

The support courses featured on these pages are operated from Sunsail's head office base at Port Solent on the south coast of England. Whilst at head office you will benefit from an on site dedicated training facility overlooking the marina and historic Portchester Castle. You can also take advantage of membership for Portsmouth Harbour Yacht Club's Quayside bar and diner, situated in the same building as the Sunsail offices.

All our shore based courses include refreshments on arrival, mid morning and mid afternoon. Lunch will be available to purchase in Quayside.
