RYA Competent Crew Practical


The aim of the course is to introduce the complete beginner to cruise under sail, thereby enabling them to be an active crew member. This will be achieved having completed 5 days, 100 miles at sea in tidal waters and 4 night hours.

Pre-course experience
None but we recommend familarising yourself with parts of a yacht, points of sail and knots

Ability after course
You will be a useful member of crew who understands the workings of the yacht and can confidently help out on board casting off, under sail and mooring up.
