Safety first


Sunsail Sailing Schools are fully recognised by the Royal Yachting Association, our yachts fully comply with the Marine & Coastguard Agency Code of Practice for Sail Training Yachts, and all Sunsail Skippers are qualified and hold a commercial endorsement. This means that our safety procedures and equipment are regularly monitored to comply with RYA regulations.  At Sunsail we make sure your course is a safe and enjoyable experience.

We ensure:
  • You are under the supervision of your RYA qualified instructors at all times
  • There is full DoT Code of Practice safety equipment
  • All our instructors hold first aid certificates
  • Yachts have VHF radios
  • Courses cover all practical safety aspects on the water
  • There is supervision on teenage sailing courses all of the time

For over thirty years, Sunsail has introduced people of all ages and abilities to the fun and exciting world of sailing.
