MileBuilders
All year round Sunsail gives you the chance to join in on longer, more challenging passages known as ‘MileBuilders’ in popular destinations. Covering more mileage than most would tend to on a traditional yachting holiday, they are the perfect way to increase sea miles towards RYA qualifications and build confidence onboard the yachts.
Our MileBuilders are often available with an Instructional Skipper onboard which means you can work to the RYA syllabus throughout the journey. However if you just want to get on board for the experience, book an individual place and get some serious sea miles under your belt!
In a completely interactive environment, you will learn techniques in coastal navigation, sail handling, rope work, watch keeping, safety precautions, meteorology as well as sailing amongst some the most untouched sailing grounds in the world.
There are opportunities to build up extra miles on the water in events such as the French Rally, Easter Rally and the Solent Quest. These events allow you to compete against your competitors, or just enjoy the sights and the sounds of experiencing so many boats out on the water at one time.
