Croatia Yacht Charters

Sailing level 2

The Adriatic coast of Croatia is known as 'The Coast of a Thousand Islands' and its idyllic sailing conditions and easy line-of-sight navigation mean that it has long been a favourite Bareboat Yacht Charter location. Sunsail’s two bases along the coast – at Dubrovnik and Agana – are home to our most modern fleet outside of the Caribbean. Each of Sunsail’s Croatian bases has a different and unique sailing holiday experience to offer.

Dubrovnik has culture, history and wonderful architecture in a cosmopolitan city as well as the best of the Adriatic’s sandy beaches. As for our second base and for the best of both worlds, a yacht charter from Agana allows you to sail between two National Parks area (Kornati islands and Krka Waterfalls) on the north route and beautiful islands, towns and modern marinas in more lively locations, combining folklore and tradition at one, with the chic bars, restaurants and open-air nightclubs of the other.

Whichever starting point you choose for your Croatia Bareboat Yacht Charter, you will find superb sailing conditions in stunning surroundings, exciting winds, pristine seas, excellent food, a sunny Mediterranean climate and a welcome to match. Winds in these areas are generally light in the morning and stronger in the afternoon. This area is best suitable for experienced sailors as early and late in the season southerly and south-easterly winds might get stronger. Croatian authorities require an ICC or RYA Day Skipper licence as a minimum to sail in these areas.

Don’t worry if you don’t have sailing licence, we have you covered! Apart from Skippered Yacht Charters, you have a choice of learning to sail at our Sailing School or taking our Flotilla Hero course from our Agana base.
