Overview

The province of Trat in the Koh Chang archipelago is the location of Sunsail’s base in the eastern Gulf of Thailand, best suited to sailing from November to April. 

Koh Chang is Thailand at its most chilled and perfect for a relaxed sailing holiday.  The region is only slowly developing as a tourist destination and, while there are plenty of lively spots (be sure to check out sundown at White Sand beach), there are also numerous quaint fishing villages built on stilts, where life has not changed much in hundreds of years and sailors are guaranteed to find a warm welcome.

Sailing in Koh Chang

This amazing sailing ground incorporates the spectacular Koh Chang National Park – clear waters surrounding a spectacular island terrain of mountainous peaks and high cliffs, with lush green tropical vegetation and incredible waterfalls. 

On a Thai sailing holiday in Koh Chang you can admire the stunning coastline from the deck of your yacht when the weather is sunny and dry, temperatures from November to April range from 21- 24 C (69 - 75 F) and the north-easterly winds light to moderate 5 – 20 knots (5-23Mph).
