We do not recommend jeans as they take a long time to dry. It is much warmer to wear multiple thin layers than one thick layer.
Hopefully you will have good weather and if you do get sunshine we advise you have:
Please pack in a soft holdall as there is limited storage space on board the yacht. Please note that for security reasons and limited storage we are unable to store any personal items.
When chartering a yacht, you may wish to sleep on board. We do not provide bedding or towels on our UK charters so you will need to bring your own. If you require a Sunsail skipper they will require their own cabin, the charterer is responsible for all the skippers out of pocket expenses during the charter.
Facilities adjacent to the base include:
You are welcome to bring your provisions with you or for your convenience there is a large supermarket within a 5 minute drive from the base. For health and safety reasons we are unable to accept provisioning deliveries on your behalf. Unfortunately, due to limited space we are unable to store provisions at our base. We are able to provide a provisioning pack for your on-board catering needs. Please contact us at your earliest convenience if you require further details as provisioning must be pre-booked.
There are a number of restaurants and bars in Port Solent marina to choose from, as well as the many restaurants and food outlets in Cowes.
The yacht briefing introduces you to your yacht, its systems and rigging. It is carried out individually for each yacht. It is important that all systems and equipment are fully understood. Briefings are mandatory.

Sunsail yachts are equipped with just about everything you will need for a safe and enjoyable event. You will be given a checklist on arrival to make sure you have all the items listed on the inventory. Please inform the base manager before you leave the base if anything is missing as it is not always possible to replace or exchange items once you have departed the base.
Any problems with your yacht must be reported to the base staff immediately. If not we cannot be held responsible.
All yachts are equipped with life jackets and safety harnesses for everyone on board. It is the skippers responsibility to advise the crew when personal safety equipment should be worn.
