Moorings
Optional moorings are currently being installed in many of the St Barth’s anchorages and plans are underway to install these in some St Martin anchorages. Statia provides moorings. Moorings can be arranged inside the harbour of Gustavia, St Barts with the Port Captain at US$15 a night.
The best sailing is in the deep waters of the Inner Channel and Victoria Channel. Trade winds are usually fairly consistent out of an easterly direction. Tidal range is minimal, being about 18" at springs.
