Sunsail’s yacht charter base at Kremik offers exceptionally good access to the highlights of the central Dalmatia cruising area including Trogir (WHO site), Split, Hvar, Brac, Korcula (birth place of Marco Polo) and the Kornati National Park. Kremik is also a one day sail from the famous Krka Falls at Skradin. Nearby, the towns of Primosten (north) and Rogoznica (to the south) are just 5 minutes away by car. Kremik base is approx. 40 minutes from Split airport.
Start your holiday in a handy central location where the pretty marina is surrounded by an 800 year old vineyard. Just outside the entrance to Kremik lie a number of lovely bays for a refreshing dip and leisurely lunch - a great way to get into holiday mood right away! Forests, waterfalls and mountains mix with cultural and historical highlights to create an amazing holiday destination with ideal sailing conditions.
This sailing area is characterised by tiny island towns set against a dramatic backdrop of fertile mountains. Idyllic sailing conditions in gentle, clear waters create a cruise that grants every sailor’s wish.
Head north to Primosten, one of the most popular resorts on the Adriatic coast that boasts the best of Croatia from yesterday and today. Stroll the narrow, cobbled streets of the old town centre set on a small, hilly peninsula or take a ten minute taxi to the Hacienda all night disco. Further up the coast, explore the beautiful southern Kornati islands, known among sailors the world over as one of the most amazing places to cruise. The awe-inspiring natural beauty and simple way of life here create an almost spiritual sense of well-being, just cruising through and soaking up the atmosphere.
To the south visit Rogoznica and the impressive walled town of Trogir where you can indulge in art, culture and history as you wander through the ancient streets. The heart of this town sits on a small island only accessible on foot by two old stone bridges.
Brac, known as the sunny island, is famous for its much photographed beach at Bol as well as its excellent wine, olive oil, figs and nectarines. On the island of Hvar, the vineyards and colourful fields of lavender, rosemary, sage and thyme create a heady mix of scent carried on the warm breeze. Vis - the oldest established town in Dalmatia, founded by Dionysius in 397 B.C. - is home to the exclusive Croatian wines, Plavac and Vugava. The Blue Caves on the nearby island of Bisevo (also called the Island of Neptune and Sirens) are a famous and highly recommended snorkelling spot.
