Just 35 miles west of Glasgow, our Largs yacht sailing school and charter base has easy access to one of Britain’s most picturesque cruising areas. From Largs Yacht Haven you’re quickly able to enjoy the superb sailing and stunning scenery of the Firth of Clyde. Sailing around dramatic rugged islands with castles and mountains, stopping at traditional friendly fishing villages and beautiful welcoming harbours, a sailing school course in this area is a stunning experience. Watch out for porpoises, seals and some of the rarest birds in the British Isles.

Largs Yacht Haven has a reputation as one of the country’s finest marinas with excellent facilities, restaurants and nightlife nearby. Largs enjoys immediate access out into some of the most stunning cruising waters of the British Isles.
The IslandsDiscover beautiful, safe and secluded anchorages in the breathtaking Kyles of Bute. If you visit Bute at the beginning of May you can soak up the atmosphere of the annual jazz festival or choose from one of many bars and restaurants to enjoy a leisurely lunch. Visit Europe’s smallest cathedral on the Isle of Cumbrae as you explore from the lovely harbour of Millport. Sail the breathtaking coastline and spend some time ashore on Tighnabruaich, Kames (West Kyle) with its excellent hotels and one of the west coast’s most scenic golf courses.
Scotland’s answer to Cowes Week can be found in the form of the famous Scottish Series. Over 250 yachts sail from the sheltered fishing harbour of Tarbert, Loch Fyne to enjoy a full week’s racing. For a contrasting backdrop visit the rugged Isle of Arran and sample the local speciality at the famous Arran whiskey distillery.
