CURRENT PASSPORT AND VISA REQUIREMENTS



VALIDITY
• A valid passport is essential when you travel abroad.
• Please ensure your passport is valid for the period of travel and for six months after your return.

PASSPORTS FOR CHILDREN
• Children not already included on a valid British passport are now required to hold their own passport.
• Children who were included on a passport before 5 October 1998 may continue to travel on their parent’s passport until:
• The child reaches the age of 16 or
• The passport on which the child is included expires or
• The passport on which the child is included is replaced or an amendment results in the issue of a new passport
• Children travelling to the USA will need their own passport.

NAMES
• Your passport name MUST match the name on the flight ticket, otherwise you may not be able to travel and insurance may be invalid.

APPLY EARLY
• If you need to apply for a passport or to renew an expired passport you should do so well in advance of travel.

VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR BRITISH PASSPORT HOLDERS

MEDITERRANEAN
• GREECE – No visa required

• CROATIA – No visa required

• TURKEY – A visa is required for British Citizens (including children and infants) costing £10. It can be purchased on arrival in the customs area at Dalaman or Bodrum airport. CARIBBEAN
• BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS - No visa required unless visiting the US Virgin Islands when visas will be required.

• ANTIGUA – No visa required unless visiting the US Virgin Islands when visas may be required.

• ST. MARTIN – No visa required unless visiting the US Virgin Islands when visas may be required.

• MARTINIQUE – No visa required unless visiting the US Virgin Islands when visas may be required.

• GUADALOUPE – No visa required unless visiting the US Virgin Islands when visas may be required.

• ST. VINCENT – No visa required unless visiting the US Virgin Islands when visas may be required.

SEYCHELLES
• No visa required.

THAILAND
• Visas are only required for visitors staying for more than 30 days. These are obtainable from the Thai Consulate in London.

MALAYSIA
• No visa required for stays of less than 60 days.

VIETNAM
• Visas are required for all British passport holders. Single entry visas are valid for one month and applications must be submitted at least two weeks in advance of travel. Travelmood offer a visa service for £16 or a payment of $25USD can be made on arrival in Vietnam. Non-British passport holders, please contact your local consulate for advice on visa and passport requirements.

FRENCH POLYNESIA
• Visas are not required for British passport holders visiting French Polynesia for less than 90 days.

AUSTRALIA
• Visas are required for Australia and can be obtained from the Australian High Commission in London for a charge of £15.
