COVID-19 Travel Restrictions in St. Martin

We would also advise that you contact your airline for the most up to date information around entry requirements and re-entry to your home country.
While the St. Martin is opening its borders for international travellers, certain Policies and Procedures will need to be followed when entering the country, before, and during your stay there.
Before You Go
Fully Vaccinated Travellers:
- Do not require a Covid-19 PCR test to enter St Marteen (Dutch side of the island) if you have had your second dose of a WHO-approved Covid-19 vaccination. The completed vaccination date must be no older than one year. If it is older, then you would need to have had your booster shot.
- Children aged 5 years and over who have not been fully vaccinated will need to present a negative Covid-19 PCR test taken within 48 hours prior to departure to St Martin.
All Travellers:
- NO MORE TEST REQUIRED TO ENTER FRENCH SIDE AS LONG AS THE TRAVELLERS GET THE APPROVAL TO ENTER DUTCH SIDE BY PLANE WITH EHAS FILLING REQUIREMENTS.
- Must fill out a mandatory health pre-authorisation application through an Electronic Health Authorization System (EHAS).
- Each traveller will be required to purchase mandatory COVID-19 insurance SXM Protection Plan
- Submit your full guest list in advance of travel to us via the manage my booking link
When You Arrive
- Wearing masks is optional.
- Travellers will arrive on the French side of the island and may cross the Dutch border by car without needing an additional COVID-19 test.Travellers who enter St. Maarten (Dutch Side) by vessel will be subject to a 7-day quarantine upon returning to St. Martin (French Side). There is no more quarantine if you are fully vaccinated.
During Your Charter
- Covid Health Pass (proof of vaccine, or negative test) is mandatory to enter café, restaurants, bars or hotels
- Restaurants and Bars will receive clients untill midnight (no curfew)
- St Martin sailing area has no more restrictions.
- Sailing to St Bart: Vaccination is mandatory; you will need clearance from last port (even if it is French St Martin), and all documents (boat paper, insurance, crew list, vaccines) will need to be sent in advance to St Bart Port Authorities. No test required when arriving by boat from St Martin.
- Sailing to Anguilla: Although it is possible for customers to leave the French side of the island to enter Anguilla, it is very challenging, and we advise against this currently. Anguilla has lifted the online registration, but clients still must contact a local agent for clearing service and assistance. List of agents on this page. https://escape.ivisitanguilla.com/. Vaccination mandatory. Need to present evidence of full vaccination status and a negative covid test that is an NAA/PCR/RNA test taken within 3 days of travel or a rapid antigen test taken within 2 days of travel.
- Sailing to St Kitts and Nevis: It is possible. Vaccination mandatory. Need to present proof of vaccination and tests. Antigen 24hours. PCR 3 days
- If you require negative test results to board your departing flight, non-French citizens will need to schedule an appointment and take a taxi to the Dutch side of St. Maarten. French citizens can take their exit test on the French side where the base is located.

Covid-19 Testing Centres in St.Martin
- If you require negative test results to board your departing flight, non-French citizens will need to schedule an appointment and take a taxi to the Dutch side of St. Maarten. French citizens can take their exit test on the French side where the base is located. Antigen and PCR tests at walking distance from the marina. No appointment. Open from 7:30am-5:00pm, Mon-Fri. 8:00am-1:00pm, Sat-Sun.
- If you test positive for COVID-19 during your charter, please get in touch with your insurance provider for advice. You can quarantine on board your yacht up to the end of your charter. Once your charter has ended, you will have to finish your quarantine in a hotel.
St.Martin:
- Several testing facilities are in Saint Martin, French side, in some pharmacies or medical centres. There is a medical centre 5mn walking distance from the marina, which does antigen tests. For PCR tests, there is a laboratory 10mn walking distance from the marina.
- Test results may take up to 20mn for antigen tests to same day for PCR tests to get the results. A link will be given to receive the results, or a text message will be sent to your cell phone. The cost for testing is free for local and French citizens. For international travelers, the cost range is from 30$ to 50$.
Sint Maarten
- There is a PCR testing facility located at Health Care laboratory in Colebay. Schedule an appointment at +1 721 544 1036. The cost is $125 USD and results are given in 24 hours.
- There is a PCR testing facility located at Simpson Bay Clinic in Simpson Bay. Schedule an appointment at +1 721 544 5312 or preferably by email at [email protected] The cost is $125 USD and results are given in 24 hours.
There is an Antigen testing facility located at Juliana International Airport. Cost $120
