Situated in a picturesque Marina village smack in the middle of the Croatian coastline, Marina Agana is the perfect base to explore over 1,000 islands scattered like pearls along the Dalmatian Coast.
The bright, terracotta roofs and rough-hewn stone walls of Marina are endlessly captivating, and the waterside restaurants will further tempt you to extend your stay. However, with the gleaming Adriatic lying in wait, you’ll want to set sail as soon as possible. Ideal for cruising, the coastal waters of the Adriatic are forgiving enough to give beginners a first taste of sailing, yet sufficiently varied to see seasoned sailors return time and again.
The lively, culture-rich islands of Brač, Šolta and Hvar to the south and east are just the start, with an endless array of peaceful, picturesque islands, beaches and moorings to explore. To the north and west, the remote, untouched islands of the Kornati Archipelago - an unspoilt national park renowned for its stunning scenery - lie in wait.
Choose a Croatian bareboat charter holiday for the ultimate freedom to explore the Dalmatian Coast at your leisure. Go wherever the mood takes you—north to the spectacular waterfalls of Krka National Park and the region’s sleepy fishing villages or South to the popular, bustling islands of Dalmatia. A bareboat charter holiday is just you and the open ocean—perfect for more experienced sailors with an adventurous spirit.
The most sociable way to explore the Croatian coastline, flotilla holidays give you the chance to experience a Croatian sailing getaway in the company of other Mediterranean travellers eager to make new friends and share new experiences. Sail with an experienced lead crew armed with local knowledge and recommendations you won’t find anywhere else. On a flotilla holiday, you’ll improve your sailing skills along the way, before enjoying all the leisure opportunities Croatia has to offer alongside your new friends.
Keep an eye out for our Mediterranean specialty flotillas, which we change every year. This year we’re looking forward to our exclusively-adults one-week flotilla in Hvar and our one-week food and wine flotillas from Dubrovnik, Agana, and from our partner bases in Italy.
Want to learn how to sail? Sunsail offers flotilla courses at our sailing schools in Agana and Lefkas. If you're a complete beginner or want to get qualified, our Flotilla Starter and Flotilla Hero packages get you up to speed whilst making the most of your flotilla holiday. Taught by RYA-certified Skippers, beginners on our Flotilla Starter will learn everything needed to know to pass the RYA Start Yachting course. Suitable for up to three sailors with some experience, the Flotilla Hero course was designed for groups who want to take the next step in sailing training.
Learn to sail at one of our bases. From the Mediterranean to the Caribbean, Thailand to Australia, or even a bit closer to home at our Port Solent base, our RYA qualified instructors teach you all the skills you’ll need on your sailing holiday.
View CoursesLevel 1 destinations offer the easiest, most forgiving sailing ideal for novices and less experienced sailors. Lazy line mooring, line-of-sight navigation and calm conditions mean you won’t sail outside your comfort zone.
To sail in this destination you'll need at least an ICC or an RYA Day Skipper qualification or above. Original license/certificate must be presented upon check at the base.
