Sail north from Lefkas’ marina through the narrow channel that separates the island from mainland Greece. Pass beneath the road bridge that connects Lefkas with the mainland and head out into the Ionian Sea. You’re sailing to Prevesa, a picturesque Grecian town set on a peninsula reaching into the Ambracian Gulf. Gaios is the island’s capital, with a mishmash of cultural influences giving the town its unique look and feel. Explore sleepy Gaios on foot and stop for a drink or a bite to eat in a local tarverna, or shop for trinkets and keepsakes in the town’s many boutiques.
