Raise money for a great cause
On Wednesday 25th May 2016, join The Phyllis Tuckwell Sailing Regatta
Money raised at this event will go directly to Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care. If you’re looking for a fantastic day out to thank customers, provide corporate hospitality or reward staff this is a great opportunity!
Phyllis Tuckwell is the only Hospice Care service for adult patients, and their families, across the whole of West Surrey and part of North East Hampshire, in the Hospice, at the Beacon Centre, in patients’ own homes and in the community.
For many patients, when a cure is not possible, Hospice Care offers a more dignified and comfortable alternative to spending time in a hospital. PTHC care helps patients manage pain and improves the quality of life for both the patient and their family. For more information visit their website.
In association with Sunsail Events, you’ll enjoy a day’s racing on The Solent with all training, equipment and meals provided. The day will end with a BBQ and prize giving on the terrace overlooking the marina. Prizes will be presented by Tracy Edwards MBE and skipper of the all-female crew of Maiden Great Britain in the 1989 Whitbread Round the World Race.
By taking part in this sailing event, not only will you and your guests enjoy a memorable day but you will be supporting Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care in a new and exciting way. All of Phyllis Tuckwell’s services are offered free of charge, but as the NHS/Government only covers 20% of its costs, the Hospice has to raise over £20,000 a day and therefore relies heavily on the support and generosity of the local community.
Boats are just £2,750 (Crew of up to 8 plus skipper & first mate) which represents excellent value for money. The day includes:
-Beneteau F40 yacht with Skipper and mate
-Wet weather gear and safety equipment
-On-board light lunch
-Networking, prizegiving and raffle
Whilst we hope you would like to take a boat if you have only a few participants then please get in touch as we may still be able to accommodate this.
