St. Lucia is like no other Caribbean island. Here you’ll sail a backdrop of lush rainforests, cascading waterfalls, soaring peaks and hidden beaches, anchor in colourful harbours and wake to the symphony of birdsong every morning. St. Lucia, ‘The Jewel of the Windwards’, offers a sailing holiday you won’t soon forget.
No matter which side of the island you end up on, a St. Lucia sailing holiday offers superb sailing conditions thanks to year-round sun and varied seasonal winds. You’ll find open water passages perfect for exploring St. Vincent, the Grenadines and Martinique. Take it easy with line-of-sight sailing or up the adrenaline with exhilarating longer passages. In the winter you’ll have exciting sailing, while the summer months offer smooth waters.
Set sail from Rodney Bay with the dramatic twin Pitons as your backdrop, heading south to St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Explore tranquil Bequia, just eight miles south of St. Vincent, where you’ll find an island steeped in maritime history. Head for the stunning Tobago Cays, where you’ll find a clutch of deserted islets with some of the best diving and snorkelling in the Grenadines. Spend your mornings lounging on the dazzling powder-white sands and snorkelling the warm, shallow waters, before ordering barbecued lobster from a local boat vendor to enjoy in the shade of a swaying palm.
Unspoilt, romantic and welcoming, sailing St. Lucia on your own private yacht is the most carefree way to see the Windward Islands. A different beach, a different bay every day, all you have to do is set your schedule, hoist your sails and go.
Level 3 destinations are our most challenging. Suitable only for confident, experienced sailors, Level 3 destinations offer long spells of open water sailing, broad tidal ranges, strong winds and remote anchorages.
